DR. IRMA J. PLAXICO
Principal
Dr. Plaxico has been principal at MLLA since 2014. She is a former elementary and middle school teacher. She holds a Doctorate in Ethical Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University, a Master of Art in Educational Leadership from Governors State University, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Chicago State University, and a Bachelor of Science from Jackson State University.

Her professional memberships include the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), Illinois Principals Association (IPA), Jackson State University National Alumni Association - Chicago Chapter, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
MR. MAINARD EASLEY
Assistant Principal
Mr. Easley joined MLLA in 2023. He is a former high school teacher. Mr. Easley holds a Master of Art in Education from Xavier University and a Bachelor of Science from Jackson State University. He is also a certified learning behavior specialist. His professional memberships include the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), Illinois Principals Association (IPA), Jackson State University National Alumni Association - Chicago Chapter, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
